UCFI launches First J-K T20 C’ship

SRINAGAR: United Cricket Federation of India (UCFI) launched First J and K T20 Championship 2013 at Kashmir on Tuesday, to hunt the talent of cricket from all parts of Jammu and Kashmir and to provide them a platform where they can show their talent.
Vice-President UCFI, Zaffar  Iqbal said that this is a big event in the cricket history of Jammu and Kashmir in which the players from all parts of the State will participate.
He told that main motive of UCFI is to promote national integration, peace, unity and the dignity of sports and sportsmanship and to find cricket talent.
He assured that every hidden talent in the state will get right opportunity to achieve his goal. He also announced the prizes for this championship to include Rs 3 lakh for winner, Rs 1.5 lakh  for runners-up, Bike each for Man of the series and Top scorer of the tournament, laptop for top wicket taker of the tournament and Best Captain of the tournament,  LCD TV for sixes in the tournament, smart phone for maximum catches of the tournament, Best Wicket keeper of the tournament and Best fielder of the tournament.
As per Joint Secretary Sports, Sham Saini, UCFI will select excellent and good players who have showed their brilliance during this championship and will provide them free coaching for cricket in India and abroad.
The registration for players is open till 5th May 2013.
State President All J and K NYC Association, Muddasir Hussain appealed to the youths of the state to participate in this championship to make it a grand success.
General Secretary All J and K NYC Association, Aijaz Ahmed Shah assured to the federation that NYC will cooperate to UCFI at every step.
