Sunderbani girl tops in 10th class after re-evaluation

SUNDERBANI: A girl student from Sunderbani area in district Rajouri has created history by securing first position in 10th class exams after re-evaluation result declared recently.
According to reports Asmita Gupta daughter of Parveen Gupta a student of New Public School Sunderbani had appeared in Secondary School Examinations (10th) class during annual session 2013 under roll no 504040. After declaration of results she had got 16th position in merit list, but unsatisfied with her marks in social studies papers she went for re-evaluation of her answer sheets. After the declaration of re-evaluation result she got an increase of 17 marks in same subject and after which she was declared top in the merit list in Jammu province. It is for the first time in the history of Rajouri District that a student has topped the merit list.
New Age Public School on Monday organised a function to felicitate Asmita for bringing laurels to school and district. Asmita’s father Parveen Gupta said that all the credit goes to school staff and management under whose guidance my daughter has made it to the top.
