New Delhi : Alleging that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress party are ‘neck deep in corruption’, the BJP on Wednesday said Congress president Sonia Gandhi has no ‘moral right’ to speak on corruption.
‘Sonia Gandhi has not taken any step against her partymen including the Prime Minister who are involved in corruption,’ BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters here reacting to Ms Gandhi’s attack on the BJP in her rally in Rajkot in the BJP-ruled Gujarat.
Rudy said ‘shockingly’ the Congress president spoke on corruption but she ‘forgot’ the scams including the Commonwealth Games, 2G and coal block allocation.
He alleged that in ‘coalgate’, the Prime Minister was directly involved.
‘The Congress has a track record of corruption and that party was in denial,’ the BJP spokesperson added.
He alleged that definition of corruption has changed in the dictionary of the Congress party.
