Pak targets forward posts in Jammu

JAMMU: In another ceasefire violation, Pakistan targeted forward posts along the Indo-Pak international border in the bordering Arnia sector of this winter capital.
“Pakistani Rangers yesterday fired few rounds from their ‘Awam’ Post targeting forward BSF posts in Arnia sector,” official sources here on Thursday said.
The BSF did not retaliate to maintain ceasefire. “No reason could be ascertained immediately behind an unprovoked firing,” sources added.

 

 

Govt. dispenses with cheque system in certain Departments

JAMMU: The Cabinet which met here today with Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in chair decided dispensing with cheque system of payments in Departments like Public Works, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Power Development Department, Forest and switching over to civil accounting system.
The new accounting pattern would come in force from 1st April, 2013.
