Pak again violates ceasefire

SAMBA: In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistan fired small arms at forward Indian posts on Friday along the International Border (IB) in Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Pakistani Rangers in yet another ceasefire violation, this afternoon opened fire from their Ian Post at Ballad Post of Border Security Force in Ramgarh Sector of Samba,” official sources here told UNI. They said the firing started at 11:30 AM and lasted for about 45 minutes.
“BSF also retaliated the firing while no casualty, injury or damage to any property was reported in the exchange,” they added.
Pakistani Rangers also fired few rounds yesterday towards a JCB engaged in lavelling of land at Pansar area of Hiranagar Sector on the International Border in Kathua District.

 

Teacher booked for beating student

RAJOURI: A teacher of a government school has been booked for allegedly beating a girl student in Rajouri District in Jammu and Kashmir, police informed on Friday said.
“A nine-year-old girl student was this morning admitted in a district hospital after she was allegedly beaten by her teacher Dheeraj Kumar, resident of Muradpur,” a senior police official here told.
He said the girl is a student of Government Middle School, Najeri in Rajouri District. “The victim said that she got late to reach the school following which the teacher beat her and she suffered a fracture in her hand,” he added.
“A case has been registered and manhunt is on to apprehend the absconding teacher,” the official said.
