BJP protests against FDI in retail sector

JAMMU:  The BJP staged a nationwide protest today against Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail sector, corruption, price rise and other issues.
The J and K State unit of the BJP took out a protest march from BJP headquarters to Purani Mandi to protest against the price rise and FDI.
The protest was led by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and organised by Jammu Mahanagar District President Rajesh Gupta.
Referring to party campaign against FDI, Manhas said that the implementation of FDI on retail is an anti-poor step and therefore the party will continue to oppose it in parliament and outside. He said that UPA Government should first clear the corruption charges against its ministers which is the real priority adding that BJP has been continuously fighting against corruption, black-money and unaccounted deposits in foreign banks. The poor man is already burdened with price rice and FDI on retail will make his life more miserable, he said.
Rajesh Gupta said that the city unit of BJP has always been in the forefront to raise issues of public concern and will continue to do so.
Chander Mohan Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Arun Chhibber, Kavinder Gupta, Sanjay Baru, Vikram Randhawa, Karan Singh, Jaideep Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Ayodhya Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Praduman Singh, Pushpa Wazir, Sunil Dogra, Sat Pal Choudhary, N.D. Rajwal, Kuldeep Kandhari, Jeet Angral, Bawa Sharma, Dhan Sawroop, Raj Rani Jamwal, Vijay Choudhary, Surinder Choudhary, Sat Pal Karlupia, Rajeshwar Singh and others also took part in the protest.
Manwhile, BJP workers also held celebration ceremony to hail hanging of Kasab.
Shamsher blamed the UPA Government for delay in deciding the case of Kasab and his hanging. He said all nationalist forces are feeling relieved to hear this news. He called upon government to decide other cases of terrorism also without delay.
