SRINAGAR: A 34-year-old man allegedly hanged himself to death in the south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said here on Sunday.
They said Mohammad Afzal Bhat hanged himself in his house at Yaripora, Kulgam.
However, his family members immediately brought him down and shifted him to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
It was not immediately clear why he took this extreme step, they said, adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
